What's About Cloud Computing?
Last week we discuss what will matter when it comes to 5G era. It helps IIoT ideas implement when the technologies(edge computing) can deploy fully. However, compared to edge computing which makes real-time data access, cloud computing also benefits from 5G. That’s why cloud service providers are booming now.
Cloud computing is the delivery of different services through the internet. Users can have availability without directly installing the whole management. You get the on-demand service from the internet. The most popular one is data storage. If we discover further, all cloud computing services can be divided into three main categories of types of cloud computing:
1. Infrastructure as a service(IssS)- It involves a method for delivering everything from operating systems to servers and storage through IP-based connectivity as part of an on-demand service.
2. Platform as a service (PaaS)- It involves a development environment for application developers. So cloud providers can deliver a platform including an operating system, programming-language execution environment, database, and web server.
3. Software as a service (SaaS)- It involves the licensure of a software application to customers. Cloud users do not manage the cloud infrastructure and platform where the application on the cloud user’s own computers, which simplifies maintenance and support.
A cloud can be private or public and it also has some challenges and advantages. As the biggest concern of 5G era, security is an ongoing issue. Nevertheless, if it controls, there are some key benefits: flexibility, consistency, mobile access, and maintenance. Organizations can leverage the services from a small scale and then grow faster. Cloud service providers are responsible for the system, the process of recovering data, and the maintenance of all the applications & services. Mobile applications are ensured to connect.
Cloud computing is on the rise and it is likely to account for more enterprise tech spending than the traditional forms of delivering applications and services in-house that have been around for decades. Moving to the cloud can help companies rethink business processes and accelerate business change.
With a series of articles that help us to get a big picture of a new era. Later, we will show more specific applications about how we make our products into appropriate solutions for this era. And we will also exhibit our category at “Communicating & Broadcasting Week” in Tokyo, Japan. Looking forward to seeing you there!
