Extending the industrial edge: SPE 10BASE-T1L, Arm-Base Platform, Edge AI Computing

At Embedded World 2026, Netiotek is excited to showcase several key milestones in expanding industrial edge connectivity. In addition to co-exhibiting with our partners BIOSTAR and Embedian, we are also participating in the SPE System Alliance conference session, sharing practical insights on extending Ethernet to the industrial edge using 10BASE-T1L technology. At the exhibition floor, we present a more complete hardware architecture for 10BASE-T1L networking—from edge computers to field-level connectivity solutions—demonstrating how industrial Ethernet can reach devices over long distances with simplified infrastructure. Together with Embedian, we are also introducing two new ARM-based industrial edge computers, further expanding our edge computing platform portfolio for industrial IoT and automation applications.
Netiotek on Stage at Embedded World Conference!
At Embedded World 2026, Netiotek had the opportunity to take the stage at the SPE System Alliance conference session, “Extending Ethernet to the Industrial Edge.” In this session, we shared hands-on insights into the deployment of 10BASE-T1L and Power over Data Line (PoDL), highlighting practical approaches to extending Ethernet connectivity directly to field-level devices in real industrial environments.
Through the conference, we gained valuable feedback and exchange with industry experts and ecosystem partners, further strengthening our understanding of real-world deployment challenges and opportunities. We also visited the SPE System Alliance booth for deeper discussions on technology alignment and future collaboration, reinforcing our commitment to advancing the adoption of Single Pair Ethernet in industrial applications.










The SPE System Alliance is a global collaboration of leading technology companies working together to promote and advance Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) as a key enabler for industrial communication. The alliance focuses on accelerating the adoption of SPE by aligning standards, sharing expertise, and fostering an open ecosystem across industries.
Through this collaborative effort, SPE technology enables Ethernet connectivity over a single pair of wires, supporting both data transmission and power delivery via PoDL (Power over Data Line). This makes it possible to extend Ethernet seamlessly from cloud to control level and down to field devices, simplifying network architecture and unlocking new possibilities for IIoT and industrial automation.




Showroom: Edge AI and IIoT Solutions with Our Partners
Together with Embedian, Netiotek showcases a new generation of ARM-based industrial edge computers, featuring platforms based on i.MX 8M Plus and i.MX 93 processors. These solutions are designed for energy-efficient and scalable edge AI deployments, enabling applications such as automation control, data acquisition, and AI inference at the edge. Combined with Netiotek’s industrial design and connectivity capabilities, the collaboration demonstrates a flexible and cost-effective approach for deploying intelligent systems closer to field operations.









In collaboration with BIOSTAR, we present a complete DIN-rail industrial networking solution that extends Ethernet connectivity from edge computers directly to field devices. By integrating BIOSTAR’s industrial edge computing platform with Netiotek’s 10BASE-T1L Single Pair Ethernet technology, the system enables long-distance communication with simplified cabling infrastructure. This joint demonstration illustrates how industrial networks can be streamlined while maintaining reliability, making it easier to deploy edge computing in real-world environments such as smart manufacturing and infrastructure monitoring.
